This program was sent to Novatari from a user's group in Bordeaux, France.
It allows you to customize your icons, to the point that you could specify
that individual files ( even with the same extension ) could have different
icons. It also allows differnt colors for icons and masks, although the
Makeicon.prg will not run in low resolution.
The menus are in French: from left to right, they are:
Desk File Icon
Load Resource File Create Icon
Open Icon Resource Edit Icon
Save Resource File Erase
Quit
You should load Icone.rsc under the File menu to see some of the current
designs. If you double-click an icon, you can then modify it as desired.
Clicking on an Icon to Edit or Creating one from scratch gives you a
drawing area with buttons to play with. Effacer=Erase, Copie=Copy,
Annuler = Abandon, Ombre is beyond me. Note that you can set the colors
on this screen for the icon and the mask.
Also, in the upper left corner is a text string. This is the filename
type that the icon will be used on. You can be very specific or very
general, even to the point of using wildcards or making a unique icon for
a particular program.
I don't know if there is a maximum number of icons that can be in effect.
This was tested on a Mega4; any comments on the program or further testing
would be welcome. Also, note that the resource file holding the icons can
be shared...
This Arc contains:
Icone.rsc - holds Icon designs
Icones.acc - must have to load Makeicon.prg
Makeicon.prg - Icon editor
Makeicon.rsc - Resource file for icon editor
